Outdoor Tip #1: Trim brush and shrubbery near outdoor units to prevent airflow obstruction:

It is important to provide unrestricted airflow to the outdoor unit. Leaves, trash or shrubs crowding the air conditioner or heat pump cause the unit to work harder and use more energy. Also remove any debris that may have collected around the unit.

When you call Reliable Heating & Cooling for service, you won’t have to watch the clock. At Reliable, most of our repairs are performed on a flat-rate basis.  As you know, not all technicians work at the same speed.  Flat rate pricing means you will be charged for the job being performed, and will not be charged extra if the job takes longer than expected.  Unfortunately, not every job can be flat rated.  However, when you are billed on a time and materials basis, you can be assured of getting high quality service at a fair price.

Our technicians are highly trained professionals that continually educate themselves on the latest technologies.  We are able to service all makes and models that heat and cool your home.   Reliable can also repair existing gas lines, locate leaks, or run a new gas line in your home.  Hot water boilers, water heaters, humidifiers, air cleaners….you name it….Reliable can fix it.  Our service department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week for emergency service.

Finally, Reliable Heating & Cooling will work around your busy schedules.  No one likes waiting around all day wondering when the service technician will arrive.  Our customer service specialist will keep you informed of where your technician is, and when he is going to arrive at your home.  And, if we can’t meet your schedule Monday thru Friday, we offer Saturday service at no additional charge.

Automatic periodic inspection, lubricating, adjusting, and cleaning of your heating and cooling system keeps it running at peak efficiency. Potential problems are spotted before they cause trouble.

CHOICE

You set the renewal period for your own Diamond Plan Agreement. By choosing the 1,2, or 3 year plan, you can lower your annual cost, and protect yourself against future rising costs and inflation. Your Diamond Plan price cannot be raised during the effective dates.

PRIORITY SERVICE

The Diamond Plan increases system reliability, but should you need a service call, your plan entitles you to preferential treatment.

Each Spring

Our trained technicians will perform the following procedures to ensure your air conditioning equipment is functioning properly:

Air Conditioning

  • Cycle the complete system
  • Clean the outdoor condenser coil and outdoor unit
  • Test refrigerant levels
  • Lubricate all moving parts and motors in the indoor and outdoor unit when necessary
  • Clean and check condensate drain and fitting at the evaporator coil
  • Visually inspect coils and copper tubing for refrigerant leaks
  • Record temperature drop across the indoor evaporator coil
  • Monitor and record refrigerant pressures
  • Examine and tighten all electrical connections in the unit and disconnect box
  • Examine and test all controls on the outside unit (Contractors, Capacitors, etc.)
  • Ensure proper voltage and amperage on outdoor unit
  • Check the thermostat for proper operation
  • Tighten and adjust any belts or pulleys on older models

  • Check heat exchanger for cracks
  • Clean and adjust burners and pilot assembly
  • Clean flame sensor
  • Check all safeties and limits
  • Check flue for proper draft
  • Test voltages and amperage on furnace component parts
  • Lubricate all moving parts and motors in the indoor unit when necessary
  • Check the thermostat for proper operation
  • Tighten and adjust any belts or pulleys on older models
  • Clean heat exchanger
  • Check all safeties and limits for proper operation
